Michele Ruffin
At the age of twenty he started sewing belts in his grandmother's basement. At twenty-three he set up
his first workshop, and since then he has not stopped: belts, labels, collaboration with the world's
leading fashion brands, continuously innovating, always researching, new materials for increasingly
sustainable productions , always more green.
Michele Ruffin is a tireless, restless, passionate homo faber, an enlightened craftsman who does not
resign himself to the arid administrative duties of the businessman, and tenaciously experiments, tries,
tries again, looks for new paths.
And mostly he loves dreaming.
When he started, in 1984, he wished to create new things, with a freedom that the detergent store
opened by his father does not allow him. Michele Ruffin, with a lot of creativity, has thinking that even
from the deep of Veneto can emerge something ingenious in terms of fashion. And so he creates
Okinawa, the brand that at the beginning exploits the great success of the late 70s jeans fashion
producing leather regenerated belts, and then knows how to reconvert to create the labels of the
coolest fashion brands of all time.
Michele would like to diversify from the other competitors and he realized that he must put attention on
environments. So that Smart Materials born, a researching center who works on new materials creations
made from cellulose working.
The dream is now called FUORISERIE, and it is the business project of Michele Ruffin, he believes that
the product must become a “value” and he would like to dedicate himself to the rule who loves, the
visionary.

I am the testimonial of my dream, I speak of it, I describe it. But not only.
I will make sure to convey to the consumer a lifestyle in which to identify.
3. Catch the changes
I understand recently that it was starting a new way of selling and I had the courage to imagine
customers who have the opportunity to create the products they want, as technology allows it.
4. Find in the world what you need
With Fuoriserie I intend to operate in the world, preferably in marginal areas, where "new phenomena"
emerge. Fuoriserie is organized curiosity: recognizes in the desire for knowledge one of the main
motivations of expression and works to bring this aspiration from the individual to the collective
dimension.
